Recommended Well Visit Schedule

Your child’s well-child visit is very important. It is good for your child’s doctor to see them when they are feeling well. Visits that occur when your child is sick are not enough. It is a great time to bring any questions you may have pertaining to growth and development. And because this is a visit that is planned it gives you all the time to prepare.

Schedule of Well-Child Care Visits

Visits can include physical measurements, patient history, sensory screenings, behavioral assessments, and planned procedures (immunizations, screenings and other tests) at the following suggested intervals:

  • 3 to 5 days
  • 2 weeks
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months
  • 30 months
  • 3 years
  • 4 years
  • And once every year thereafter for an annual health supervision visit that includes a physical exam as well as a developmental, behavioral, and learning assessment.
